The First Resenha (heh-zen-ya) took place on March 2nd, 2019 at UCF. It was hosted  by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Club (now the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club @ UCF). This event was initiated under the guidance of Master Ricardo Liborio, world renown Brazilain Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt, coach of many top UFC fighters, and head coach and (now Adjunct Professor) at UCF for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Sport Club and Accredited course.
This event took place at UCF’s Recreation and Wellness Center, in the Mac Gym and took place from 11am-3pm.
The purpose of this event was to not just focus on the 5% of competitors, but the 100% of practitioners. 95% of non-competitive practitioners continue BJJ for other reasons, including but not limited to: Therapy, Mental Health Management and Stress relief.
This event was open to everyone, from 1 days of experience to those competing for over 10 years. Every university student was welcomed, both with and without a Gi. 
This event was broken down into 3 Parts:
1. Seminar (Featuring Prominent BJJ Stars: Ronaldo Jacare Souza, Rodolfo Vieira, and Gezary Matuda.
2. Open Mat
3. Competition Between University Students
This event was just the first step in a long-term goal: Integrate BJJ within every university and establish it as both therapy and a sport.

– This event broke the Florida Record for gathering over 80 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts into one location.
– This event had a whopping 300 members in attendance.
– All profits made by this event was donated to: Visually Impaired
– This event had over 12 Universities in Attendance, Including: University of Central Florida (Host), University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of North Florida, University of Miami, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, Florida State University, Kaiser University, and a few others.
